School Closure Work- Culinary Arts

Work to do

Year 7

Work can be found in the Culinary Arts course page, KS3 Culinary Arts section, Culinary Arts Y7, Y7CA Closure Work.

New work has now been added to complete after Easter from Monday 27/4 – Friday 22/5

The work includes topics covered in Y7 and so will help to consolidate key knowledge and understanding.

 

The expectation is that pupils will work through the task sheets using the resources provided for their one hour a lesson per week. Work can be completed on paper by hand or on a computer. The completed tasks will need to brought into school when lessons resume. They can take photos of any practical tasks completed but it is not essential.

Year 8

The work includes topics covered in Y9 already and so will help to consolidate key knowledge and understanding on fruit & Vegetables, Food Spoilage and Food safety. It also introduces a new topic on Cooking methods.

Year 10

Work can be found in the Culinary Arts course page, GCSE Culinary Arts section, Culinary Arts Y10, Y10CA Closure Work.

The work introduces new topics on Energy, Dietary reference Values and methods of Preservation.

Year 11

Completion of NEA1 and NEA2. The NEA2 task sheet can be found in the Culinary Arts course page, GCSE Culinary Arts section, Culinary Arts Y10, Y11CA Closure Work and the NEA2 section contains all the information and help sheets.
